Who are we?
An enthusiastic and ambitious amateur choir based in Amsterdam. With our heart in the right place and a welcoming work environment, we want to be a choir in which the sound is warm and expressive. This choir is for advanced choristers, amateur and semi-professional, who want to sing at a high level and who, like us, find the joy in making music together of utmost importance.
We will sing challenging and beautiful repertoire under the direction of conductor and mezzo-soprano Hebe de Champeaux. Vocal coaching will be provided by professional singers from, for example, Cappella Amsterdam and Hollands Collectief. Rehearsals are scheduled on a project basis with approximately 8-12 rehearsals depending on the difficulty of the program, with the majority of rehearsals falling on Monday and Friday evenings and the weekend.
This is a 'card catalog' choir, which means that you do not always have to participate and that you may not always be invited, depending on how many singers are needed for a project and the artistic choice of the conductor. However, this is not a project choir, the card index will be limited and we will be working on our own choir sound.
